Abstract: Using qualitative method in this research to investigate the challenges Uzbekistan has been facing due to the significant outward labour migration along with the protection of labour migrants from Uzbekistan. Initially, migration is one of the most significant and the irresistible global issue of our time. Labour migrants play an essential part and have a significant contribution to the economy of the nation. However, being a labour migrant is not easy as it used to be due to different challenges and issues they face. Migrants face a lot of difficulties, obstacles, and also create problems in their countries of origin as well as the destination country. To implement the research successfully, two types of data sources are gathered, such as primary and secondary data. The primary data source is collected by applying purposive and judgmental sampling through questionnaire on the face to face and via-e-mail (online survey) interview basis. In addition, the questionnaire used openended and close-ended questions. The secondary data sources had been collected through journals, books, reports, the websites of international organizations such as ILO, IOM, UNDP, World Bank and domestic organizations such as MFA of the Republic of Uzbekistan, and Agency for External Labour Migration. The main findings of this research produced comprehensive finding which include: 1) the economic, social and political effect of the large number of Uzbek labour migrants working in other countries; 2) challenges in the protection of labour migrants and challenges Uzbekistan has been facing due to the significant outward labour migrants; and 3) recommendations by expert respondents on what government should pay more attention on in order to decrease the obstacles and threats of labour migrants for both sending and receiving countries.
