Abstract: Recent concern for the politics of Kyrgyzstan and its neighbors was the development of the foreign policy of the former one. One of the key roles in decision-making processes is performed by the head of the state. Thus, this paper aims to analyze the foreign policy direction of Kyrgyzstan under each of its presidents. Moreover, the role of the president is defined and searched under each political system of the country in the present paper. In this regards, the foreign policy of Kyrgyzstan is analyzed within the context of presidencies of Akaev, Bakiev and Atambaev. As results revealed there is a minimum impact of political system on foreign policy direction whereas the role of individual president occupies a special place in the development of international relations of the Kyrgyz Republic.
