Abstract: This research aims to analyze the determining factors that affect the scope and modality of development aid support in Afghanistan and will focus on small-medium enterprise development. The main objective of the thesis is to analyze the aid distribution mechanisms of various donors in this area and uncover the variation in beneficiaries of the programs. Research results can be used in order to make policy recommendations for the donors involved in support programs, as well as Ministry of Commerce and Industry who provide services to the same target group. The research method will be mainly qualitative. Data will be collected from secondary sources as well as through to selected interviews.
