Abstract: This paper contributes to the literature by evaluating the case of the Kyrgyz Republic on the Wage Gap. This paper uses LIK panel survey for two years of 2010 and 2011 to employ the Mincer earnings equation. Using the Random Effects Model we find that education and earnings are positively related in the state. The tertiary education has significant influence on the earnings especially in the rural regions of the country. The tertiary education has higher returns for women than it is form men. The interesting finding is that married men as well as men who have one child or several earn more in terms of monthly earnings from main employment that single men with no children.
