The aim of the paper is to analyze the impact of the trade openness on technical efficiency of the post-soviet countries’ agricultural sector. There is no theoretical linking between trade liberalization and agricultural efficiency. The method of estimation is stochastic frontier analysis (SFA), which would help to find the relationship between countries production resources and agricultural output, as well as the significance of the trade openness on technical efficiency. Trade openness is calculated as the sum of the import and export of agricultural sector divided by Gross Domestic Product (GDP) of the agricultural sector. The time span is the period from 1990 till 2014.en_US
