dc.description.abstractThe study analyzes the determinants of vulnerability to food insecurity among farming households in Kyrgyzstan, using sample survey data the Kyrgyz Integrated Household Survey 2016 wave that is conducted quarterly. There are main 15 determinants, among which age of the household head (years), household size, sex of household head, marital status, farm income, education of household head (years), food expenses, access to extension services, number of dependents, farm size (hectare), non-food expenses. This thesis is aimed to examine the level of vulnerability to food insecurity by categorizing them into three groups (households who are mildly vulnerable, moderately vulnerable and severely vulnerable) using OLS Regression model. It will be able identify main factors affecting vulnerability to food insecurity among farming households and pay attention to the improvement of the positions of these determinants.en_US
