dc.description.abstractThis paper analysis the evolution of anti-bride kidnapping movement in Kyrgyzstan between 1991 and 2013, and seeks to answer the questions: How did an anti-bride kidnapping movement evolve between 1991 and 2013? Who were the main actors involved in campaign? Analysis is carried out using Resource Mobilization Theory and Process Tracing Method of political science. Given period is analyzed in chronological order with special attention to core elements of the movement: formation, cooperation among actors and mobilization process. This research does not aim to study the practice of bride kidnapping in Kyrgyzstan as a social phenomenon and does not aim to analyze the tendencies.en_US
