Role, Importance, and Prospects for Future Development of Microfinancing in Kyrgyzstan

Abstract

This paper investigates the problems and limitations of microfinancing in Kyrgyzstan, providing comprehensive analysis of economic and political environment for microfinance market. The thesis examines international experience in microfinancing and their success factors, describes current situation in the industry and its role. Considering existing trends in the microfinance sector the paper forecasts probable prospects for further development of the sector in the country. Based on thorough situation analysis, the research provides recommendation for improvement of the microfinance activity in the country. Overall, the study contributes to the updated academic research on the topic.
