dc.description.abstract | This paper analyses the relationship between the development and institutionalization of political party system in Kyrgyzstan and influence of informal networks such as political clans. The work attempts to answer the question: How do informal clans influence the development of political party system? Author analyzes various typologies of clans and how they operate in different context. In the end of the research two hypotheses are ckecked. The results of parliamentary elections 1995-2015 are examined in order to understand what type of electoral system hinders the development of party system and how the political clans evolve throughput the electoral reforms. The study also examines the literature on patron-client relations, party system institutionalization and election procedures. | en_US |
